The appearance of the Spinosaurus in Jurassic World Evolution is directly based on the animal's depiction in Jurassic Park III, although the colours of its sail are more distinctive. Spinosaurus previously appeared in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, considered by many to be Jurassic World Evolution's spiritual predecessor. Here's a thread for listing all dinosaurs that will appear in Jurassic World Evolution! List of Jurassic World Evolution dinosaurs: Allosaurus (Fallen Kingdom D Creation is an act of sheer will. - Among the species revealed to be in the game is Crichtonsaurus. A fitting way for the series to pay tribute to its creator, who died a decade earlier.
- Look at all the moments in Jurassic World along the lines of 'just that the park exists,' then realize that, in this game, you're responsible for doing the same thing.Six times.
- On a related note, achieving five stars on each and every island earns you some genuine, if fairly cautious, praise from Ian Malcolm. A stark contrast from his opinion of John Hammond and Jurassic Park in general, but he comes to recognize the player’s adaptability and efficiency in dealing with everything the islands and dinosaurs throw at them.
- Though known for being Ax-Crazy and sadistic, with a bit of work, it is possible to keep the Indominus rex and the Indoraptor comfortable enough in their pens that they never make any attempts to escape, even with the weakest fence. Considering the backstory of the film's I. rex as a neglected and thoroughly mistreated animal, seeing her calm, thriving and content, living peacefully like the other large carnivores makes the effort worth it. And the Indoraptor in the film was solely meant to be a weapon, kept in a tiny cage and never knew anything close to a proper habitat. In this game, you can clone your own Indoraptors and give them a proper, comfortable life.
- If you remember that the I. rex ate its own sibling, then it gets even more heartwarming once you unlock the gene from Secrets of Dr. Wu that allows you to increase a dinosaur's social stat, meaning you can keep two I. rexes together.

- On a similar note, some of the promotional content and backstory for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom strongly implied that the Spinosaurus had been subjected to torturous experimentation in its youth, which would explain its hatred of humans. When you unlock Isla Sorna, there's already a wild Spinosaurus running around, which strongly implies that it's the same one from Jurassic Park III - and since you won't have any Spinosaurus DNA yet, you'll definitely want to keep this one. Taking this angry, tortured dinosaur and giving it a proper home where it can live in peace and comfort is so nice.
- With the new 'Claire's Sanctuary' DLC, which has you moving dinosaurs from Isla Nublar (which, like in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is about to explode) to a sanctuary. What this means is that you can avoid one of the most tear-jerking moments in the entire franchise. YOU CAN SAVE THE BRACHIOSAURUS!!!!

“Great. A Spinoraptor. Another aggressive carnivore to drop into a world of potential meals walking around in souvenir t-shirts and cargo shorts.”

Spinoraptor is a genetically modified species of dinosaur, created by Dr. Henry Wu by combining the base genome of Spinosaurus with that of Velociraptor.

The Spinoraptor is the aggressive amalgamation of Velociraptor and Spinosaurus, possessing the cunning and ferociousness of its parent species. When the first Spinoraptor was released into the Tacaño Research Facility, it was discovered that it had been tampered with in the embryo stage by rivals of the Hammond Foundation, strengthening its hide and preventing it from being subdued by the ACU helicopter, necessitating the creation of a dinosaur capable of defeating the hybrid. Thereafter, the genome was perfected, resulting in more amenable specimens in future operations.Behavior and Traits
“My first instinct with this hybrid, the Spinoraptor, is to put it into the hands of Owen Grady and see if he could control it. I'm sure he'd be up to the challenge.”
- - Dr. Henry Wu
The Spinoraptor is similar in size to the Metriacanthosaurus, and while it shares many traits in common with small carnivores, it is capable of challenging and killing far larger predators. In addition, the Spinoraptor is a social animal and requires between two and four members of their species to remain content. It is the most docile of the hybrid theropods but will hunt guests more aggressively than its counterparts if it does escape.
Trivia
- Spinoraptor was originally created for Jurassic World: The Game, prior to its appearance in Jurassic World Evolution. In the former, Spinoraptor was a hybrid of Spinosaurus and Utahraptor. Since Utahraptor has yet to appear in Jurassic World Evolution, Velociraptor was used instead. In Jurassic World: The Game, Spinoraptor was covered in feathers.
- Spinoraptor was added with the Secrets of Dr. Wu DLC on November 20, 2018, along with Troodon, Olorotitan, Ankylodocus, and Stegoceratops.
- Spinoraptor is counted as a medium-large predator, meaning it can be housed with small carnivores such as Velociraptor and Troodon but will battle with the likes of Tyrannosaurus or Spinosaurus.
- Spinoraptor is the most sociable medium-large carnivore in the game.
- An odd glitch sometimes occurred when Spinoraptor fought and defeated an Indoraptor. Upon pouncing on its rival to take it down, the Spinoraptor's lower jaw would bend to the side at a 90' angle and remain so until the animation was completed. The glitch was eventually fixed.
- The Alpine skin of the Spinoraptor resembles that of the Jurassic Park III female Velociraptor.
- The design of the Spinoraptor is reminiscent of the alien Spinosaurus from the PC Game Carnivores 2, where it was much smaller than the real Spinosaurus. The Tundra and Woodland variants of the animal bring it to a similar brown/green as the Spinosaurus. It is also reminiscent to the design of the Spinosaurus that is featured in the game Warpath: Jurassic Park.
