Create and manage your kill teams for Shadow War: Armageddon. Apr 25, 2017 Subject: Where can I find the rules for Shadow War: Armageddon? Tue Apr 25 2017, 06:12: I haven't really been following this boxed game too closely, as I'd prefer to play 40k, but since 8th is coming out and I was in the process of getting a friend interested in the game, I don't want to teach him all the 7th edition stuff right before 8th. A standalone game, Shadow War: Armageddon pits kill teams against each other in skirmish combat, with a detailed set of rules that are easy to pick up, yet detailed and complex enough to delight even the most seasoned wargamer.
The new game, Shadow War: Armageddon allows you to enter this war zone and lead squads to battle in the war-torn environment.
The box game, which contains two forces: Space Marine Scouts and Ork Boyz, as well as the rules you need to play and a complete battlefield’s worth of the new modular Sector Mechanicus terrain, is now sold out online, but your local Games Workshop, Warhammer and independent stores should be receiving copies next week. You can find out where your local store is by checking the Store Finder.
The 120-page rulebook for the game is based on the classic Necromunda system, including rules for advancing your squad’s abilities as you play through linked campaign games. It is in campaign play where this game really come into its own, as your troops gain skills and experience, and you expand your squad to take on ever more dangerous foes.
You are not limited to these two forces, however, and you can make use of a huge variety of other units from the Warhammer 40,000 range as Kill Teams and specialists. For each of these additional units, the rules to add them to your games of Shadow War: Armageddon can be found in the links below :

Veteran (power-gaming) Necromunda player here. Just want to share some tips and sample lists with new players. Veterans will be familiar with everything here.
Views are premised on playing on tables with enough terrain that allows CC warbands a chance to get close (wide open tables means simple admech gunlines will dominate). Sample lists are built on efficiency and not fun or fluff considerations.
Be warned – Long text. YMMV.
General principles on list building (with exceptions depending on faction)
Boys over toys
Only buy snazzy wargear when you have a good amount of bodies. Most of the time, snazzy wargear isn't worth its cost, particularly as advancement is slow compared to Necromunda (only 1 advancement per game unless you get lucky with serious injury rolls). You will never get multiple guys with crazy stats in one campaign. For example, compare:-
